Numerology is the ancient study of the energy of numbers. Of all the numbers in your chart, the Life Path Number, calculated from your full date of birth, is the most important: it describes the core lessons and gifts of your journey.
How to calculate it
Reduce the day, month and year of your birth to single digits separately, then add them together and reduce again. Master numbers 11, 22 and 33 are usually kept rather than reduced.
Example: 14 August 1990. Day 14 → 1 + 4 = 5. Month 8 → 8. Year 1990 → 1 + 9 + 9 + 0 = 19 → 1 + 9 = 10 → 1. Total 5 + 8 + 1 = 14 → 1 + 4 = 5. Life Path 5.
What each number means

- 1: the leader. Independent and pioneering; learning to accept support.
- 2: the peacemaker. Intuitive and diplomatic; learning to value your own voice.
- 3: the creator. Expressive and joyful; learning focus and depth.
- 4: the builder. Grounded and reliable; learning flexibility.
- 5: the adventurer. Free and curious; learning commitment.
- 6: the nurturer. Loving and responsible; learning to care for yourself too.
- 7: the seeker. Spiritual and analytical; learning to trust and open up.
- 8: the achiever. Ambitious and abundant; learning balance between power and heart.
- 9: the humanitarian. Compassionate and wise; learning to let go.
- 11, 22, 33: master numbers carrying heightened intuition, vision and service.
